LKO started the laser system training program for JBV (Norwegian State Railway Track Administration) on September 1st. LKO was the successful bidder in the JBV bid for a new clearance laser system (April 2016). The LKO system will be integrated with other geometry systems on a Norwegian rail bound vehicle.

To enable a fast startup, with trained personnel, on the new geometry/laser car, we now mounted the LKO’s laser system on another JBV rail bound geometry car for training purposes. The first part of the survey started in Bodö on September 3rd and ended in Trondheim (760 km) on September 8th. We collected over 158,000 composite cross-section for post processing (also part of the training program).

We will be back with more information when the new geometry car is ready to use.

LKO is also busy with TRV (Swedish Rail) surveys and we continue to perform surveys all over Sweden.

L-KOPIA is in Washington State and we have a delay in entering Canada. New Canadian immigration regulations makes it harder to get work permits and to get our laser trucks into Canada. We hope to cross into Canada next week. CN need for L-KOPIA to survey several tunnels in BC and we like to start soon to avoid snow.
