L-KOPIA and LKO in New Mexico

[02/01/2026]

L-KOPIA, operating as a subcontractor, continues to help a larger consulting company with a major clearance and track center survey. Per Arne Pettersson from LKO Teknik AB traveled from Sweden to train the field crew and install new software in our F350 laser truck. The 2026 measuring season started early in New Mexico. Data is transferred from the field via a web-based database to allow the data processing to start immediately back in the office.

The CED crew, Brent Ellison and Israel Rodriguez, waiting for track time close to Belen, New Mexico. The L-KOPIA F-350 laser truck received a second scanner and new software from LKO in Sweden. Per Arne installed the hard and software and trained the field crew last week.

LKO will soon be in Oslo, Norway, for the annual upgrade of Bane Nor’s SMV3 Geometry and Clearance car. LKO continues to assist L-KOPIA with data processing.

Bane Nor has had the LKO Z+F Clearance Laser System on one of their Geometry Car’s (SMV3) since 2016. The system collects composite RAW data every meter, including 10 jpeg frames per second with superimposed heading. The pictures are used for post processing and in Bane Nor’s LKO ClearLoad © Software.
